It was my birthday today. I went out for lunch with my two favourite girls and my little nephew. We went to Saltholme, an RSPB reserve close to where I work, which has a lovely visitor centre with cafe (the reason for going) and one of the most unusual skylines you'll see at any RSPB reserve - the Seal Sands chemical complex!
The cafe was nothing to write home about. They wouldn't do me a breakfast as I was 30 seconds too late (breakfast ended at 12:15) so I had Beanburger & Chips. The burger was decent, the chips were old and cold. The company was fantastic though.
AJ was more excited by the tractors that passed us while we were waiting at some traffic lights and by the "horsies" on the wasteland by the chemy works than he was by the birds at the reserve. Oh, he loved the chips though. Old & Cold is his favourite way to have them!
