Charley is making himself more and more at home. He no longer waits to be invited in but rather shoots in through the door as soon as you open it. And he's outside wowling at any time of day or night. We just ignore him (poor thing) through the night, but he's in in the mornings and evenings now.
This morning he appeared just as I was leaving for work. I squatted down to stroke him and he jumped straight onto my knee and padded around with his muddy paws, so I had to go and change before I could go to work. Of course that meant Charley could come in while I changed and have a few little cat biscuits.
He was there again tonight but I couldn't play with him as I was cooking, so after wandering around the dining room for a while he eventually lay down on the old duvet we've put down for him and went to sleep. Ah, bless.
I'm very mindful though of what Mr McMuffin told me about God and kittens and it's quite a worry to me.
