Greek Day

The big Greek lunch at work was a sheer delight. As well as my own made Moussaka, Giant Beans and Skodalia there was a host of other stuff - Greek Salad, Hoummos, Tyrokavteri, a variety of breads, Baklava and Honey & Yoghurt. I brought in a bottle of Retsina too. When the table was set out (above) we thought "we're gonna be having the rest of this tomorrow", but no, we managed to eat almost all of it and it was a bit of a bind having to leave some for two of the guys who were late back for lunch. My Moussaka & beans were well praised and I really loved the Tyrokavteri that Carolyn made, it was almost exactly as I remembered it from Crete. Delicious. No one liked the Retsina though (except me). It is a bit of an acquired taste and I guess many days lazing around in Greece have given me that taste.
To the left, the girls from our office enjoying the Greek banquet. I think it is being able to cook that makes me such a sexual magnet.
