Chasing bubbles
He was almost as excited by his birthday cakes. "Happy Birthday" is his favourite song and I lost count of how many times he shouted "more, more!" and we had to sing it again. We had to relight the candles loads of times too.
Loads of cake!
Of course at a little boy's birthday (and a little girl's too, I guess) the best bit is opening the presents. Unfortunately he opened what turned out to be the most interesting present first and couldn't be bothered with the rest. We had to hide "diggerland" for a while to get his attention onto the other gifts. After that came an even bigger and better present, something for playing with sand and water in (a dangerous mix, especially indoors!) but which has a lid that doubles as a road system. Ideal for playing with those diggers he just got! And of course diggers being diggers means they don't have to stick to the actual roads, which was bad news for the "poorly dog" that got in digger's way. Luckily "amby" was on hand to take him to hospital!
Fascinating for children both big and small!
Party over, everyone went home, but not before we got a photo of the four best boys, Alexander, Me, Edward (re-christened "Harry" for some reason!) and Puddy.
It was a lovely party and I was totally stuffed full of cake!
