Arrival In Napa

Transfer day today. Such is the level of traffic on Cypriot motorways
that a 120 mile drive at the speed limit of 60mph took 2 hours. Cruise
control engaged all the way an no need to touch any controls
whatsoever. I could have done it in my sleep, and in fact the journey
was so lacking in driver input that I almost did fall asleep!
We stopped at Panorama services, somewhere we're well familiar with,
for both refreshments and to ease my aching back (the Impreza doesn't
have the most comfortable of seats).
Once in Napa we checked in (lovely hotel, oozes quality and has the
unusual feature of the bathroom in the bedroom having a glass wall!)
We wandered into town via the beautiful Grecian Beach (white sand,
crystal clear turquoise sea) and looked for something for lunch. We
found a dightful Greek fast food place that did Haloumi & grilled
vegetable pitas. It was absolutely superb and has instantly become our
favourite fast food joint, ousting Ruxana in Rhodes into second place.
Afternoon was spent relaxing around the pool. It's very stylish with
lovely "real" beds rather than the typical loungers, including some
doubles.
Going out for dinner now, probably to one of the "Greek only" cafe
bars that we found on our lunchtime scouting mission.
Sent from my iPod.
