Swanky Or What

As if to complement the fact that we got a category L hire car even
though we only booked a C, our apartment has swanky electronic gates
at the end of the drive. We have a key fob that we keep in the car and
click as we're approaching, the gates slowly swinging open to the
accompanyment of orange flashing lights.

Timing is crucial as the gates are off a dual carriageway and we don't
want to be stopped on there waiting to do a left turn if we can avoid
it. Which usually we end up having to do as wife hasn't QUITE got the
timing right yet... Thankfully it's not exactly the A19 and there's
never too much traffic on it.
