Tinos

This place we're staying in Tinos is wonderful. The Vincenzo Family
Hotel has really impressed us with both the quality of the room and
with the welcome we've been given. It's ideally situated (for us) too
as it's just a couple of minutes from the town centre which is right
where we like to be.
Today we went exploring by car. We went to the convent first but
couldn't get in as you need long trousers. Should have thought of that
really, but we'll try again tomorrow.
After that we visited three villages, Falatados, Volax and Komi. All
were absolutely gorgeous, as well as being very tranquil and they all
served to reinforce the opinion that we absolutely love Tinos.
After the villages the beaches were calling. First off Kolymbythres,
the clearest and warmest water that we know. We went there last time
on Tinos and it was high on our list of places to revisit. We lunched
at the taverna overlooking the beach and spent an age over it. Then we
had a dip in the warm waters before heading back off to beach number
two - Agios Iannos Porto.
This is a slightly scruffier beach due to the weed that washes ashore
but the water was no less clear. We sat in the taverna there for an
age, loving the view and the music. Eventually it was time to head
back to the Vincenzo. We got completely lost in the backstreets of
Tinos but miraculously found ourselves right outside its door!
