Party People

We didn't do an awful lot today, but that's what holidays are all
about, especially when you've seen all the "must sees" several times
already.

We had a lie in, a liesurely breakfast and then made our way down to
Deck Bar for a couple of glasses of wine by the sea. This ended up
lasting a couple of hours and it was almost 3 by the time we got back
for lunch on our balcony - fried Haloumi in the lovely pitas you only
seem to get here.

Another walk out took us to another waterside cafe for another drink
via St Paul's Pillar & Church.

Back to the apartment once again for a quick turnaround and back out
again, back to Deck Bar for dinner, a lovely salad (a proper one, not
a "side salad") and vegie burger. We parked the Imprezza next to a
Mitsubishi Evo, which made me wonder if I was gatecrashing a hot car
car park meet!

Paphos has seemed really quiet so far, even for April (we always come
in April) - a sign of the recession maybe. Anyway, normal service was
resumed when we went to Metaxi Mas, our fave nightspot (and one few
tourists seem to visit). It was heaving, inside and out.

We grabbed just about the only free table and perused the drinks
menu... What to have... Cocoas all round I think, "special" (with
marshmallows) for wife and iced for me. We know how to party on down!

There's no loss of cool for having such things in Greek/Cypriot bars
though, the majority seem to drink coffees and soft drinks here. On
the way back to the car we spied out another couple of cool (& busy)
bars for another day. One does a Ginger Mojito which I simply must
try. Have to leave the car at home that day.

And so now chilling to Rock FM's ambient show, some great tunes, a few
of which I've never heard before, it's so frustrating that they don't
say who they're by!!

Tomorrow... Maybe St Georges by day and definitely 7 St Georges by
night!

Sent from my iPod.
